释义	Hollerith code 何勒内斯代码;［何乐里码］ A 12 level alphanumeric punched-card code invented by Dr. Herman Hollerith in 1889, in which the top three positions in a column are called “zone” punches (12,11,and 0 or y, x, 0, from the top downward), and are combined with the remaining punch rows (1 through 9) to represent alphabetic, numeric, and special characters. For example, A is a combination of a y(12) and 1 punch; and L is a combination of an x(11) and a 3 punch, etc.1889年由Herman Hollerith 博士发明的一种12行的字母数字穿孔卡片码,其中每列的最上面三个位置称“三行区” 穿孔,从上向下定为y,x,0或12,11,0,它们与下余的穿孔列(1—9)相结合,用来表示26个英文字母、数字和其它特殊符号。例如A由y(12)和1的穿孔组合表示,L由x(11)和3的穿孔组合表示。
