In data transmission, a function that permits two or more data sources to share a common transmission medium such that each data source has its own channel. 数据传输中的一种功能,使得两个或多个数据源共享一个公共传输媒体,就象每个数据源都有它自己的通道。 2. The division of a transmission facility into two or more channels either by splitting the frequency band transmitted by the channel into narrower bands, each of which is used to constitute a distinct channel (frequency division multiplexing), or by allotting this common channel to several different information channels, one at a time (timedivision multiplexing). 把传输设备划分为两个或多个信道。一种划分方法是把信道传输频带分割为多个窄频带, 其中每个都构成单独的信道(频分多路);另一种方法是把这个公共信道分配给几个不同的信息信道,一次传送一个信道的信息(时分多路)。 3.
