释义	intelligent communications terminal 智能通信终端;［智慧通信终端］ Intelligent terminals which can be adapted to communicate with one host computer. Most typical intelligent terminal configurations make use of either an RS232C type of interface or a currentloop interface. RS422/423 is a long distance differential drivertype of communication interface that allows the user to have CRT terminals located some 4000 feet away from the host computer (withoutusing a modem). Using LSI (largescale integration) an intelligent terminal's communications interface can now be programmable for three types of operations: asynchronous, synchronous, or isochronous.
