释义	discard policy 废除策略 Also, in a paged system, paging policy. In a virtual storage system, a policy concerning the retention and discard of pages and/or segments. It is expressed by a discard algorithm (in a paged system, a paging algorithm) and implemented by the operating system. Itattempts to ensure that each active process has the pages/segments it requires in primary storage at each phase of execution and that few if any unneeded pages/segments are in primary storage. Most discard policies are FIFO in which the page/segment that has been longest in primary storage is the first to be discarded when additional space is required. Others are LRU in which the one that has remained unused for the longest time is the first to be discarded and FINUFO in which the first to be discarded is the one that has been in primary storage longest and has not been used for a certain length of time or number of instructions. 分页系统里也叫分页策略。在一个虚拟存储系统里,指一种与保留和废除页和/或段有关的策略。它用废除算法(在分页系统中也叫分页算法)表示,通过操作系统完成。它努力确保每个活动进程在每个执行阶段在主存储器里都有它所需的页/段,而很少有任何不需要的页/段。大多数废除策略是先入先出(FIFO)。当需要增加空间时,首先废除主存储器中时间最长的页/段,其次是最近最少使用的(LRU),其中把不用时间最长的页/段先废除。对于先进不先出(FINUFO)的,则先废除那些在主存储器里时间最长并且在相当一段时间内或相当数目的指令没有使用的页/段。
