| 释义 | Josephson device 约瑟夫逊器件;［约瑟芬逊元件］ A digital integrated circuit which is composed of Josephson junctions. The circuit is said to surpass silicon and gallium arsenide types on both circuit speed and system performance. The circuit is based on cryogenic operation at near-absolute zero temperature (-273℃). The Josephson junction, which consists of two superconductors separated by sufficiently thin insulating layer, presents superconductivity and no voltage drop is on it. If a magnetic field in the insulating layer exists, the superconductivity is destroyed and a voltage drop is on the junction. The presence or absence of this voltage drop indicates the presence of logical 1 or 0.
