With the development of LSI technology, large amount of elements are located in a very small semiconductor substrate. When element density is increased, the heat generated by working elements lowers the element performance. It is the limit for VLSI. Brian Josephson predicted the possibility of Josephson elements in 1962. The research of element practice is the foundation of supercomputers or the fifth generation computers. These elements are composed of two thin films (such as Pb-In alloy) separated by an only 5×10-7mm thin insulating barrier.
