Two sets of procedures have been defined: (a) LAP procedure——The DTE/DCE interface is defined as operating in two-way simultaneous asynchronous response mode (ARM) with the DTE (data terminal equipment) and DCE (data circuit- terminating equipment) containing a primary and secondary function. (b) LAPB procedure ——The DTE/DCE interface is defined as operating in two-way asynchronous balanced mode (ABM). 一组用于链路控制的规程。现已定义了两组这样的规程: (1) LAP规程——DTE/DCE接口定义为: 与其所接的含有主、次功能的DTE (数据终端设备)和DCE(数据线路端接设备)一起, 以双向同时异步应答方式(ARM方式)进行工作。(2) LAPB规程——DTE/DCE接口定义为: 以双向异步均衡方式(ABM方式)进行工作。Link Access Protocol的缩写。
