It is a visuallyoriented program that aids in executing and understanding financial calculations. A spreadsheet consists of cells which are organized by row and column. Cells may contain data (e.g., an interest rate) or formulas that take data from other cells and perform computations within them. Since the values stored in cells that contain a formula are determined by the value of data stored elsewhere, a change in a single cell can have an effect on many cells.
