释义	fiber optic multiplexer 光纤多路转换器 A device which can multiplex synchronous data rates from2.4k to 76.8kbps on each channel. This type of unit can also multiplex asynchronous rates up to 100k bps. An 8channel device may be expanded to 16 channels. It is equipped with either RS232, V.35, or RS422 interfaces. Each channel may be provided with a different interface to serve a wide variety of terminal networks.
