时间片；［时间分割］
1. An interval of time on the processing unit allocated for use in performing a task. After the interval has expired, processing unit time is allocated to another task; thus a task cannot monopolize processing unit time beyond a fixed limit.
分配用于执行任务的处理机的时间间隔。在时间间隔终止以后，处理机时间被分配给别的 任务，因此一个任务在限定时间以外不能独占处理机时间。
2. In system with time sharing, a segment of time allocated to a terminal job.
